RETHINKING IDENTITY
After Rethinking Nature (2021), the curatorial team of EMOP choose the theme of Rethinking Identity for 2023 in order to show the importance of this current topic in the context of contemporary photography. More than ever, the role of photography and its dissemination in social networks in the construction and deconstruction of identities is crucial nowadays.

The EMOP Arendt Award 2021, endowed with 6,000 euros, was given to the Swedish artist duo Inka&Niklas in Luxembourg. Postponement of FOTO WIEN to 2022
Due to the current Covid 19 developments, we are unfortunately forced to postpone FOTO WIEN. The planning security for all participants involved in the festival is simply not given at the moment and the health risk is too great.
